Angela Lehman received a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 and a Master of Arts in history from VCU in 2023. Between 2001 and 2013, she was a freelance journalist, receiving a 2010 National Endowment for the Arts fellowship to attend the Arts Journalism Institute in Classical Music and Opera at Columbia University. From 2011 to 2021, she taught in VCU’s English Language Program and Globe living-learning community. In spring 2020, she was a Fulbright Scholar in the Department of English Language and Literature at An-Najah National University in the West Bank.
