Jerry D. Marx, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of New Hampshire. Before earning his Ph.D. at the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, Marx served as Executive Director for eight years of a family service, nonprofit agency in Portland, Maine. Marx’s research interest is community & administrative practice. Among his publications are Social Welfare: The American Partnership and a number of journal publications Carter, V.B. & Marx, J.D. Jerry was a huge help to me in my teens a long time ago in the late 80s. He helped many troubled teens at that time. I owe who I am as an adult to him. Without his structure and guidence I would not be the person I am today. KUDOS!!!!
